Happy Hippo Forum - Registration
In registering you may use the name of your SL Avatar, or your real name, or you can make up another name. That is your decision. But in any event, use a different password than you use on Second Life. I use my SL Avatar Name, so that students can relate answers I provide on the forum to my Avatar in Second Life, but I am not worried that someone might be able to track me down to my Real Life identity. In fact my RL name and email address is in the 1st Life tab of my Profile. Some are paranoid that someone might be able to connect their SL activities with their RL identity. They must be doing some strange things in SL that have never interested me. (Yes, I know all about the new Adults Only continent, but I have never been there. I did try the age verification interface, but just to help someone who was having problems with it.) I have even written RL articles about things I do in SL, to try to encourage more people to try SL. So make your own decision what name to use.
