The event demos three new game-changing building tools that even the Lindens have called “The Future of Virtual Building.” As far as we know, these technologies exist nowhere else in-world and are available in-world only in the Happy Hippo store! They are:
- * The “InnovaTech TransformaPanel” for walls, floors, and stair ramps. As you repeatedly click it, the TransformaPanel cycles through 14 scripted configurations, which adds a huge amount of design flexibility and configurability to buildings... and allows builders’ customers to reconfigure their properties easily, safely, and accurately… without having to edit prims.
* The “InnovaTech LINKABLE Phantom Door,” which turns Phantom on touch, remains Phantom for 5 seconds (allowing avatars and physical objects to pass through), and then reverts back to a solid prim. This may sound like other phantom doors, but our door can be LINKED into structures, and won’t also turn THEM Phantom when the door does! No longer do phantom doors need to remain unlinked and separate!
* The "InnovaTech Relative Teleporter," which unlike traditional teleporters, doesn’t use destination coordinates to function. Instead, it uses “Relative Displacement Vectors.” As a result, these teleporters will continue to send avatars to their target destinations within a structure (or vehicle) even if it is rezzed in a different location, moved, rotated, or TILTED... without requiring that the TP script be resynced or reconfigured.
So if you missed last Thursday's big event, swing by the Beach on 2/18 at 4 PM SL time. Come and help others completely reconfigure our demo building simply by touch... even though it's LOCKED to normal editing! (And please don't be offended if Vic asks you to trim your Avatar-Rendering Cost during the event. This was REALLY necessary last week, with all the people that showed up! See you there!
